Both boards are controlled by the high performance esd Advanced CAN Core, "esdACC" implemented in an Altera-FPGA. With the esdACC the boards support Bus Mastering and local data management to transfer data to the host memory (regardless of the CPU or the system's DMA controller). This in turn results in a reduction of overall latency on servicing I/O transactions particularly at higher data rates. Moreover it reduces host CPU load. The components support MSI (Message Signaled Interrupts) and are equipped with an adjustable internal CAN termination.
Well-established the esd NTCAN API supports many different operating systems, such as Windows® and Linux® (included free of charge) or QNX, VxWorks, RTX, and On-Time-RTOS-32. The migration from present esd CompactPCI classic boards to CompactPCI serial can be achieved easily.
CPCIserial-CAN/402-4-FD - CompactPCI Serial (PCIe) Board with four CAN FD-Interfaces
The CPCIserial-CAN/402-4-FD has four high speed CAN FD interfaces according to ISO 11898-2 with a transmission rate of up to 5 Mbit/s. The four CAN FD interfaces are accessible at the front panel via a DSUB25 plug.

CPCIserial-CAN/402-2 - CompactPCI Serial (PCIe®) Board with two CAN-Interfaces
The CPCIserial-CAN/402-2 is available with two CAN interfaces according to ISO 11898-2 and transmission rates of up to 1 Mbit/s. Each CAN interface is connected via a DSUB9 connector at the front.
