For a manufacturer of glass container systems, esd electronics implemented an CAN to EtherCAT MainDevice gateway that enables bidirectional communication between the proprietary CAN control system and a modern EtherCAT safety control system. The existing control system remains unchanged, and additional diagnostic functions are integrated.
