The latest version of our reliable CANopen protocol stack library now includes full support for TenAsys INtime 7.x.
INtime, a deterministic real-time operating system for Windows platforms, provides two modes of operation, both of which are supported: INtime for Windows, enabling real-time processes and Windows to run in parallel on the same system, and INtime Distributed RTOS, a standalone solution focused solely on real-time performance.
As part of the release, the corresponding CAN device driver for our CAN 402 series has also been updated. The CAN 402 series – featuring a range of form factors including PCIe, PCI, Mini PCIe, and M.2 – is based on a unified driver architecture optimized specifically for real-time requirements.
This solution is commonly used in industrial control systems, where an industrial PC running INtime for Windows deterministically controls multiple CANopen devices – such as drives or I/O modules – via a PCIe CAN interface. At the same time, a user interface can operate under Windows on the same system, with both environments running independently without interference. Stack, driver, and hardware are seamlessly integrated.
