On March 24 and 25, 2026, the CAN in Automation (CiA) hosted its CiA Member Days in Frankfurt, offering participating member companies a diverse program. CAN experts from various industries were invited by the organization to discuss current developments and challenges in the CAN field.
Among the presentations, the topics “CAN & Artificial Intelligence” and safety-related aspects attracted particular interest. Another key focus remained the ongoing progress in the implementation of CAN XL and its wide range of application possibilities.
The annual general meeting was integrated into the CiA Member Days, during which esd electronics was once again elected to both the Business and Technical Committees. We are pleased to continue contributing to CiA’s strategic direction and to the further development of the CAN specifications within these important expert groups.
