The CAN/402-2Slot-LIN adapter board was specially developed for the proven CAN FD cards of our 402 family. Together with these boards the extension offers two additional interfaces for LIN alongside the existing CAN FD interfaces. Therefore, the adapter is ideally suited for automotive test systems when analyzing vehicles and components simultaneously with both buses.
The LIN technology is often found in cost-sensitive applications in the automotive industry, whenever flexibility and bandwidth of CAN is not necessarily needed. Simple actuators and sensors in doors and vehicle seats, for example, are typically networked via LIN bus.
