A comprehensive daily program awaited member companies at the CiA Member Days in Frankfurt on February 25 and 26, 2025. CAN experts across various industries were invited to discuss current developments and challenges about CAN technology.
As expected, CAN XL, the third generation of the CAN Data Link Layer, was the key focus of the event. CiA now provides extensive implementation and user guides for the protocol as well as application notes. IT/OT security also drew considerable attention, particularly concerning adherence to the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) for CAN networks.
The annual general meeting was held at the end of the conference, where esd electronics was once again elected to both the business and technical committee. We are pleased to continue our involvement in the strategic planning of CiA and the further development of the CAN specifications within these specialist groups.
