The Formula Student Team HAWKS Racing at the University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in Hamburg has designed a new electric racing car. Equipped with sufficient intelligence it is able to participate in races for autonomous vehicles.
We are happy to support the project with our CAN USB/2 module. It is used in the new vehicle as a communication interface between the autonomous system and the CAN bus.

In the HAWKS Racing team, students from various disciplines cooperate in the development and construction of an autonomous electric racing car. As part of the largest international design competition, the Formula Student, the vehicle competes against racing cars from university teams all over the world. In Germany alone, there are 70 registered electric teams and many more are on the waiting list of Formula Student Germany (FSG)

It is a great pleasure to be part of this innovative project and we wish the team every success in the races!

Learn everything about the successor of our CAN-USB/2 employed in the racing car. The CAN-USB/3-FD with its CAN FD interface is designed for use in the PC and therefore well-suited for service and commissioning tasks.
We would be happy to advise you on the possible applications of our CAN and CAN FD products in your project. Our sales team is looking forward to hearing from you.
