As a follow-up to the ECS-PCIe/1100 the new ECS-PCIe/FPGA turns any PCI EXPRESS System into an EtherCAT Slave Device.
Instead of the EtherCAT controller ET1100 the new ECS-PCIe/FPGA uses a Beckhoff IP-Core in an FPGA. This offers greater flexibility and supports the EtherCAT Latch- and Sync-signals plus some digital I/O's. While the ECS-PCIe/1100 can only be run under Windows and Linux, there are drivers for other operating systems, especially real-time OS, available on request for the ECS-PCIe/FPGA.
