The new CAN-EtherCAT/2-FD module now supports the integration of CAN FD devices into real-time EtherCAT networks. This enhanced version builds on our proven CAN-EtherCAT gateway.
To ensure maximum operational reliability, both the CAN and EtherCAT interfaces are galvanically isolated. Additionally, the gateway supports EtherCAT SubDevice functionality in accordance with ETG.5001, enabling standardized and efficient implementation into existing EtherCAT systems.
The module can be configured as an Ethernet switch port, allowing seamless integration of standard Ethernet devices into the EtherCAT network. This improves both the network’s flexibility and the system’s overall performance.

- Reduction of the data load by filtering the CAN messages internally in the gateway
- Balancing different timings between EtherCAT and CAN by queuing for RX and TX messages
- Simple configuration of the CAN-EtherCAT via EtherCAT MainDevice and standard EtherCAT configuration tools (e.g. esd EtherCAT Workbench)
