Our ultra-compact half-size PCIe Mini CAN interface card is now equipped with native galvanic isolation. The CAN-PCIeMiniHS/402, with dimensions of only 26.8 x 30 mm, is perfectly suited for small, compact and rugged computers that require high-performance CAN communication. Galvanic isolation is integrated into each of the DSUB9 adapters provided per channel. By this means, disconnection occurs directly at the access of the CAN cable, effectively keeping surges outside the housing. Up to four galvanically isolated CAN channels can be connected to the card.
In addition to the galvanically isolated CAN interface (acc. to ISO11898-2), each adapter offers a CAN termination resistor that can be switched on or off via jumper. The card supports both CAN CC (Classic, formerly also 2.0A/B) and the more advanced CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate), making it a versatile solution for various applications.

C.2054.10The DSUB9 adapter is the recommended accessory for the CAN-PCIeMiniHS/402 and CAN-M.2/402-4-FD and has an galvanically isolated CAN interface as a DSUB9 plug in accordance with CiA 106. The CAN terminating resistor can be activated via a jumper on the adapter if required. A separate adapter is required for each CAN channel.
