A new firmware version for the CAN-PN/2-FD is now available.
With this update, the module can also output CAN FD frames via the USB monitoring interface. This enables the use of our “CANreal” software tool for analyzing CAN FD communication – including familiar features such as filters, live view, and frame details.
This is a major advancement: whereas previously only classical CAN communication (CAN CC) could be monitored, it is now also possible to reliably capture and analyze CAN FD frames. In addition, own logging tools can be developed using the NTCAN API to perform targeted evaluations of CAN FD data.
The enhancement is aimed at users who need an efficient way to commission and debug modern CAN FD networks. Operation remains straightforward – the extended functions are still accessed via the integrated USB interface, with no additional hardware required.
