EtherCAT® is a very flexible real-time Ethernet protocol for industrial applications and is described by the IEC 61158 standard. Data exchange takes place according to the "processing on the fly" principle with minimal delay. This makes EtherCAT an optimal solution for Ethernet-based industrial controllers with many distributed I/Os and achieves cycle times below 100 µs.

CAN-EtherCAT
C.2922.02EtherCAT to CAN gateway for DIN rail mounting. Can be integrated as EtherCAT slave according to ETG modular device profile No. 5000. Galvanically isolated CAN interface according to ISO-11898 with up to 1 MBit/s. The CAN EtherCAT is configured via the EtherCAT master and standard EtherCAT configuration tools. Also usable as Ethernet switch port device for integration of Ethernet into EtherCAT.
