Well-proven industrial Standard

The CompactPCI® standard is well-proven in industrial applications for many years. The robustness and the capability for individual configuration have contributed the success of the bus system. This is possible due to the standards defined by the PICMG® user group and by the flexible choice of component manufacturers.

Current Technology: CompactPCI Serial

The current technologies of PCI Express®, SATA, USB and Ethernet found their way into the backplane with the introduction of the CompactPCI Serial standard. With the standard CompactPCI PlusIO it is possible to link CompactPCI Classic and CompactPCI Serial. This offers the migration of the technologies.
